About this app

Watch over your property from anywhere with Ring Video Doorbells, Security Cameras and Alarm systems, and Smart Lights. Ring Doorbells and Cameras can send you instant alerts when someone’s at your door or motion is detected. Keep an eye on what matters with live HD video and greet visitors with Two-Way Talk. With a compatible Ring Protect Plan subscription (or free trial), you can review, save, and share Ring videos.

Ring Smart Lights let you control and schedule lighting easily. Some models can even notify you about motion nearby, and trigger other compatible Ring devices to record.

Ring Alarm systems let you monitor entrances and indoor spaces, and detect certain safety hazards. Enroll in Ring Alarm professional monitoring
(compatible Ring Protect Plan subscription required) to request dispatch of emergency responders when your Ring Alarm is triggered.

Whether you’re halfway around the world or just busy with the kids upstairs, with Ring, you’re always home.

What you can do with the Ring app:

- Get real-time doorbell and motion alerts on your smartphone or tablet
- See and speak with visitors with HD Video and Two-Way Talk

It's useless. It doesn't detect motion 70% of the time. The subscription isn't worth the money, with my mil discount. You can't select a vibrate or separate notification for the doorbell. I would like to hear a notification on my phone without being overwhelmed by the motion notifications when it does work. All these updates and that's still not an option. I'm currently searching for a replacement system.

Yesterday I started getting the "couldn't find locations" error. I was advised to uninstall/reinstall app. I did and now I can't get back in. My email/password are correct but when I correctly input the verification code they text me I get "something went wrong". I am copying/pasting the code so the issue is on their end. App is broken and Ring Support just walks me through the above steps and tells me I'm inputting wrong info. 🤬 Edit in response to their response: I don't use social media.

Person detection and zones used to work... Now it always detects cars as people. And also when tree branches move in the wind. If it was happening in the zone I designate, I wouldn't be as annoyed, but it's all happening outside of the zones. Tried adjusting the zones and the motion sensitivity and just about everything else I could think of, but nothing works to fix this. Tried looking up solutions online, too, but nothing works. I probably get 100 alerts/day because of this.
